people wanted it, but they all quit the server back in classic, you weren't around back then so I don't blame you for not knowing. When p99 red first came out the population was a stable 400 to 550 at peak play time for like the first week or two. Nizzar glitched nagafen in the wall so she wouldnt attack back for I think was 3 kills in a row so 3 weeks. This forced the opponent <Holocaust> to go to the same measures which they got caught and banned and the server pop plummeted to like 50-100 people which later became 15-35 which later turned into only nihilum on the server and it was a ghost town for a year or so.
that's why rmt is bad for the server pop
