That's a dumb example. The Chinese were immigrating here and we passed legislation to keep them out. This is literally opposite the treatment black folks received.

Your cultural argument is pretty silly, too. I mean, the Chinese came here willingly and kept their heritage intact. Ever been to Chinatown? It's a celebration of wontons and cheap wares. It's rich with culture from their ancestral homeland. Now, ever been to Little Africa?

Few parts of town are more purely American than the Hood. That's because it's a culture of disenfranchisement.
