I first thought about it the other day after reading about it's symptoms and how it kills people. "What if the black death was ebola?" Guess I'm not the only one who thought that.
Nobody knows for sure. We only have medieval descriptions to go by, and at the time it was thought to be the plague I'm guessing nobody knew something like ebola existed.
