Haha not once did I ever say a epic shaman is not more efficient. Of course he is since he's using no mana except for roots. If it is an empty island of course a shaman would be best. Talking about most user friendly for crowded times on the isle in this thread. Can't complain about quadders kiting mobs when a shammy is slowly ticking away their health.
I'd much rather see a necro/mage burning thru mobs for faster turnover of the island..

its less obvious/overtly obnoxious than a bard or a quad kiter...but shamans can tie down an obscene amount of mobs with their slow and steady root/dot stuff.
the real annoyance when you share an area with a shaman is that it tends to take them (much) longer to kill stuff, so over the course of several hours you have fewer available spawns.
the world is so big though...why share if you don't like to? there are plenty of persistently empty camps that give exp and cash loot and are almost always uncamped on p99.
