It's so weird how a direct statement like this can make Stasis, and everyone like him, seem so childish without even the intention to do so. We're not in high school anymore. Your grudges are pointless. I don't even think most of the people care that much. They just play different games now. I've started recruiting around the ex-nihilum, not expecting them to do much of anything honestly.
I don't really understand the war Azrael (or more precisely, Stasis) is taking on either. I mean I took on the wars on live as an underdog versus Pandemonium, but I was totally fine with all of their members and was often being hit up for their recruitment.
Maybe it's like pride gets more wounded as you get older and people become more hardened and are less likely to forget shit. It certainly seems that way.
I don't hold any real grudge against Lite even though I'm one of his foremost criticizers here. He's actually not a bad guy in TS when he drops the charade.
I just think he's annoying on the boards, has a massive ego, can't and won't ever stop micromanaging his guild (exhausting himself), and weakens Azrael by reinforcing himself as the only person they truly follow or will get on their feet for.
Basically the same criticisms I've had for the past year since I was in his guild.
The problem is that people aren't willing to make those delineations between being critical and hateful in their mind. I've talked to Stasis candidly in game about the Red99 politics and he can be a perfectly reasonable guy. Unfortunately, he treats the guilds on this server like they're gangs living by and preserving some sort of imaginary credo that no one really gives a fuck about. It's Everquest and people here are actually far more alike than anyone is willing to admit. We all like playing EQ, for one.

That's a beautiful essay,
let me respond by saying.
