Then you shouldn't have a problem with it. If you want to take it a step further, you can add the ranged stun ability EoT had on vztz. This gave him some purpose even while you were in the process of trying to dispell him.

Also, believe both the stun and lifetap (which also did more dmg?) were long-range insta casts on vztz.
iirc on p99 EoT only has LT and it is a melee proc
