The problem with John is that he's hypothetical and doesn't exist. Neither does Juan.

If John can be replaced so easily by Juan, John's job is not really that good. Juan isn't making near that kind of pay either.

I don't know how hypothetical John or Juan could afford to support a family. The real John and the real Juan sure as fuck can't. I think that's your issue.

P.S. The real Juan doesn't typically receive social benefits either. Hypothetical Juan is just a construct to outrage the real John's of the world into thinking that they actually contribute more than they take. Real John doesn't pay shit in taxes -- He has no right to bitch about Juan.
