Well, I mean.. what you're saying is that you cannot enjoy anything but 1 specific type of content. Which (and I mean no disrespect to you when i say this) is your loss.
I enjoy all kinds of content. What I don't enjoy is having the artistic discretion of my bloody, violent, testosterone-fueled, man-garbage games trampled by someone more concerned with an external agenda than with the flavor of the game.

That said, most of what she speaks out about is not that hero's should be female, but the violence the designers pick specifically for women that is the problem. You may not even have to have a strong female lead character, but when a woman plays the roll of domestic abuse victim in the background of GTA, or rape victim, it puts thoughts into young girls minds that they are not anything but prey.
Men are disproportionately the victims of violence in these games. Doesn't that put thoughts into young boys minds that they are expendable, and nothing but predators? No, it doesn't, because that's not how it works. I'm a fat gentle nerd, and I'm going to stay a fat gentle nerd after I'm done beating an old man to death with a pixel baseball bat.

Last but not least, the thought that 'women like lifetime' and 'men like gta' is not only justflat out wrong, but its midevil man, its like the fuckn Taliban ffs. These women we like to jump into bed with, are strong, hot, smart, bad ass mamajamas that like football, MMA, guns, fail videos and motorcross just like any of us.
Anecdotally, yes, women out there like those things. Statistically, the vast majority of the GTA franchise's playerbase are male, while the majority of Lifetime's viewers are female. That channel's motto was literally "Television for Women". The same goes for most of the other video game franchises out there.

I don't even like any of those man things you mentioned. Consequently, I don't send letters to the NFL or MMA asking them to accommodate my basement-dweller tastes.

My point: Stop trying to force your personal agenda/values on peoples' means of expression. Ultimately, that's the most Taliban thing you can do.
