My house is a mile off the road in somewhat rural Virginia. Because of this, I can't get broadband. I use Verizon's 4g LTE router thingy, which can be taken anywhere, and spend $120 a month for 20gb of data. It's expensive, but I get like 40 pings on Battlefield 4 and CS:GO. EQ uses hardly any data at all fyi. Mumble / TS / Ventrilo can use up some data if you don't set it up right.

How can I set up TS to not crush data? Lower quality audio codecs? Robot heallun making a return?
