TAKP open alpha has been p fun, I would say one of the biggest things going for them is the client. Its just that much more classic ironically haha.
But from what I gathered from their forums they are not looking to do a "true to the era" style progression so much as removing conveniences later added in. It appears to me that they are going to progress in the same fashion as Sony did on their prog servers: take the current server and remove later era material until the xpac for said content is completed.
So yes, *eventually* they'll probably be the most true to era PoP server, with a few mac chars having the option to transfer from tgc that were saved from mac just prior to shutdown from what I understand
They haven't been too clear about whats going to happen with the mac char transfers but my hope would be that they'd just let tgc chars xfer too, got a rogue there I'd love to have on mac
