Couldn't have done squat
if the explosives had blown up, but it's a 9/11 paranoia thing. Imagine if there had been
un-exploded explosives on that plane, and the plane was flying towards a national landmark; those fighter jets could have shot the plane down and saved the landmark!
Remember, we live in America, the country where we waste millions (billions?) of dollars reacting to the last bad thing to happen to us, and zero dollars preparing for anything new.
