The boosts are pretty minimal, TBH. You can get mounts and gear for your mounts (that increase their move speed, HP, and defense) that you'd be able to get otherwise in the game without needing the credits. And the boosts are pretty dumb, too. (Like, you don't lose exp for an hour when you die. Stuff like that). The majority of the store stuff is cosmetic.

I just hope that the true subscription model isn't extinct. I understand that the free to play model provides
some instant return [microtransactions] on development costs for investors, but they need to realize that original mmorpg players are not 15 years old now. They are, by and large, 30-50 and have enough income to pay for a decent game. Thinking about it, I would pay upwards of $40/month for an evolving game I could look forward to playing every day.
Wow costed > $60 million to create and profited $8 billion (most of it from subscriptions).
Gimme some qualityyyyy.
