Other than perhaps the .01% of extremists, the majority of Jews I know would actually support a two state solution, would support Israeli Arabs, etc., if they weren't hell bent on exterminating every last Jew and foreigner. On the flip side, it is the stated goal of Hamas [who rules Gaza] to wipe Israel off the map and be part of the global Caliphate. How do you make peace with someone like that? Israel is a SECULAR country.

Maybe then the grass could be cut under hamas' foot by not annexing parts of the west bank with that huge fence, killing so many civilians. We'll agree that terrorism not a wanted thing for anyone but i think Israeli government policy is very cynical in that by making the palestinians suffer so much you are kind of trying to push them into the arms of extremists. They then have pretexts to push further in, make more refugees, annex more land, etc... its truly utterly sad and the Israeli left is right in thinking on the long run this is a very dangerous path to be taking, its not making anyone "secure". Kind of how i feel about americans saying i should be happy as a canadian america is making us "secure".
