If you play at a casino you're taking a chance at losing the game itself and you're taking a chance with the player running the casino. Both are a gamble that a player is accepting when they do it. In this case the player won the game, but lost against the casino itself. Is it right? No. But that's the risk you take when you get involved in this type of activity. I win all the time by not playing at a casino. The GM's might be expected to intervene here, but I think players doing stupid things deserve what they get. It's not like this kind of stuff hasn't happened before.
