I played all my eq live on Vallon back in the day. I like eq pvp (until later expansions where the gap between geared and non geared became way too wide), just don't have the patience for it so much anymore, especially not ffa pvp.
Teams is so much more fun and Vallon had a lot more pvp than Rallos ever did. Knowing who your enemy is and attacking them w/o question (I know this happens eventually in the high lvl game with guild wars but sucks in the low level game (blue + pk gankers) which you need for a thriving server).
Vallon invented LnS (player enforced not gm enforced which is the best kind of rules) eventually sucked due to no hard coding of teams and everyone started "cheating".
I'd give teams a try when (if) it is made.

I liked in PvP having guild wars, it was like teams. You'd see someone with a piece of Formosa tag and know if you didn't hit them first they will hit you.
And you felt safe when with your AD team..
For those who played on Rallos, you know what guilds I'm talkin' about!
