I think modern MMO"RPGs" have clouded people expectations of a good MMORPG. It's not about loot guys. Yeah it's cool to get pixels, but that's not what amazed me about EQ.

Modern MMOs are more like "Solo your way to end-game single player then line up for the carrot-on-a-stick loot whoring game!" EQ is about community, teamwork, friendships, and I know this is hard to believe, ROLEPLAYING. You don't have to get all crazy about it, but a little roleplaying is fun as fuck. and you know it. Fuck defiant gear and I'm glad the devs are so adamant on classic issues.
