Ranting or not, I feel that insulting people who have nothing to do with oneself is out of bounds. And expecting said people to be cool with those insults is quite silly, honestly. You insult someone, that someone hates you. Simple enough.
I don't understand why you would be romantically interested in men of all creatures in the world - I simply have no idea. But I don't insult people who are like that for it.
