Just a heads up:
My highest level character is 37. I am in favor of the change, and *any* change that brings the game back to true classic.
As someone who's played Everquest for a long, long time, I always hit "c". It was burned into muscle memory back in the day, and has been a permanent fixture of my play-style for ...well, 15 years.
Stop making (s)weeping generalizations about who is, and who isn't in favor of the change.
We play here to get the classic experience (or as close to it as we possibly can). If tomorrow they ripped out item links? That would be great. If the day after that they made us stare at the book to meditate? That would be fantastic. If the day after that they made every human in the game night-blind? That would be terrific.
This game is a difficult, unforgiving nightmare, and that's why we love it. As soon as the developers on live started listening to their player-base, the game went soft, and look what that got us: Cats on the moon, instant teleportation across the world, and finally free max aa'ed characters for all!
I for one, sir, think you should stop crying and start conning mobs.

acct registered in 2010 and your highest lv is a 35, you sound like exactly the kind of person they should be trying to appeal to
This sounds like exactly the kind of thinking that turned eq into crap "lets make changes to attract those not currently playing, rather thatn the current player base"
In fact it is rather strange that as I read over the thread I see coutnless people who registered 2-4 years ago with max lvl chars under 40 all shouting in that they think it's the right move.
