Both of them know they are nerds so you can never tell if it's a hypocritical troll directed at another elf sim nerd or if it is a troll designed to troll people who misunderstand and think they are being serious. I don't think Tigs is smart enough to pull this off though and has probably got caught in a troll loop where he accidentally trolled himself.

The biggest problem our generation of people raised in an environment where irony (including, but not limited to, internet trolling) is mainstream is that they find themselves consumed by irony until they become the thing they are pretending to be. If you walk around in a stupid mustache and a barbershop vest all the time "ironically," you're still always wearing those things and eventually you wind up accumulating a whole wardrobe of silly barbershop quartet outfits and you wake up one day and realize you are actually someone who wears those things unironically. Like that Mad TV sketch where the two guys pretend to be gay in college so girls will trust them, but they never get a chance to progress to stage 2: fuck the chicks, so they spend their entire lives living together as a gay couple.
