And for the record, I went to "trade" school for computer networking. I now work as a lead network architect, so I have about the most specific and applicable degree I could possibly have...and it was still fucking worthless.
Going to college doesn't make you smarter but smart people know that having a college education gets your foot in the door. Unless you are starting your own business you need college to get the type of entry level job you desire. At that point it is up to the individual to shine and work their way up but without a college education a lot of times you don't even get the opportunity.
