i would use this rationale every day in real life, especially when, say, ten gangsters with knives and guns want to fight me IRL or when several people are swinging large weapons at me while i'm alone.
sure i get murdered (the bigger issue), but at least i have my values nobody gives a fuck about (bringing my fists to a fight with no boundaries or rules).
