they gave red dawn mobs in order to cockblock azrael, after azrael was destroyed red dawn was next. they had to take the most powerful out first. if they took out red dawn before azrael they couldnt form a zerg alliance in order to kill azrael. its very simple actually you are just to angry at azrael to see it
