Shaman is really fun, but they take a bit to really start feeling like a shaman. You dont get your mana machine until 24, good roots until 34, and so on. Additionally, they can be expensive due to high demand for their spells and certain pieces of loot.
Druid is great, offers you a decent means to make money. Relatively cheap from what I hear, and I don't think super high demand for their spells.
But of course, my bias being noted, I'd say go Necromancer. All you really need is cheap Int gear like Stein of Mogguk, some HP rings (Adamantite Bands or Platinum Fire Wedding Rings). You will need to invest in something like a Circlet of Shadow (but with a 51 Mage, you could probably just run down in Droga and solo the spot, or get a rotting one). Cheap to make, the most expensive spell you'll have to deal with is an Emissary of Thule which goes for 15-20k, but isn't a super priority spell.
Further, it's fun. You have a variety of soloing styles that develop. You can be a great asset to a group by playing in yet another style, very different from what you do when you solo.
It's a varied class with a lot of different styles of play.
