Our Beagle is the most annoying little shit dog I've ever known and I know the reason; my wife. This thing will not sit it's ass on anything but a soft cushion, blanket, or grass. Plus the howl drives me nuts.

My blue heeler on the other hand is my favorite dog. Loyal, sweet, attentive, responsive, and 'listens' better than any dog I've met (short of a police dog) despite the fact that she's deaf. She responds to about 8 sign language commands. I love this dog. Worst part is you have to brush her every other day, but it's worth it to have her around.

Do what I do, every day I just randomly rough my dogs up a little. I'll instigate them into playing with me and il end up wearing them out and pining them down for a couple seconds. My wife says I'm mean, but I'm the one they run up to and love on and they actually listen to me when I talk to them. Gotta be a jerk to some dogs.
