I'm pretty sure that Dr. either didn't actually tell you that and you misunderstood, or he was just telling you what you wanted to hear. Either way, that would be classified as an autoimmune disease if I'm not totally mistaken. I really hope that any Dr. worth his salt wouldn't suggest that a patient who has an autoimmune disease would actually help its body to escalate the condition. By the way, in case you didn't know, women's bodies produce testosterone also,so if your body had an aversion to that hormone, being a woman would do nothing to help that.
More than likely your body was actually not producing enough testosterone, or too much estrogen. Most likely your issues could have been prevented with diet and exercise. Sorry, you're free to do whatever you want with your life. I'm not saying you shouldn't go full granny if that's what you're really wanting. But to try to use a pseudoscientific medical excuse to reason that your body which was developed in your mothers womb as a male really wanted to you to be female, just sounds like a weak justification to me.
