I've watched the series on and off, it reminds me of watching B movies on the sci fi channel, It's charming but I don't know how people can take it serious.

Exactly how I feel. I watch all manner of science fiction, good science fiction. Dr Who is not good science fiction. It kind of reminds me of Lexx, but even Lexx was better. there have been so many better science fiction shows in the past couple of decades that DR Who can't hold a candle to, yet people are like "Dr Who is god's gift!" Paleease...
