First of all, let's not forget that we're playing a 15 year old elf simulator here. Substantial numbers of people have already done all of content there is to do in Everquest . . . over and over and over again. So for many people they will not be missing content by skipping levels . . .

Second, when a player is 54+, said player can do literally every XP and loot camp that is available multiple times over and still never hit level 60. Do the critics here even realize how long it takes to get to 60? I guarantee that a person can do an AOE group for a few levels and still miss nothing special (unless you consider repetitive grinding special). I'm sure players can still experience the explosion of masochistic bliss in Sebilis/HS if they skip level 58. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Third, players here have different objectives. If a player wants to have a level 60 for high-end raiding or camps and then roll something else isn't that valid? Maybe getting to 60 is only one small objective of many? I have so many goals on this server that I will probably never have enough time to accomplish them all. Hell, I even have a level 20 Ranger that I play with my own unique rule-set: no twinked gear, no help from friends, no power-level, nothing . . . yet on all my 50+ characters I am a min-maxing whore. So what?

TLDR: There's nothing wrong with people who do Chardok AOE and Bard PL's at higher levels.
Nobody said there was anything wrong with it I don't think.

However I doubt anyone has done all the content there is. I played for years and didn't manage to do all the content even on one character.

Also sure you can go and do what the guide I just read suggests -

Level to 46 as soon as possible, don't do anything interesting just level.
Then go to OOT and sit there for weeks farming plat.
Then take that plat to the EC tunnel and sit there for weeks trading to make more plat.
Then sit in the EC tunnel for even more weeks and trade high end gear occasionally going to a dungeon and duo'ing trivial mobs for more plat.
Then go raid with like minded individuals for more loot.
Then go to Chardok and train the whole zone on yourself to PL some newb for more plat.
..

Personally I'd much prefer to actually play the game. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
