The issue is misappropriation.
There's two views on this, and what happened is improper under both.
A lot of people are arguing that when Zeelot disbanded and TMO reformed without him that the old guild was dead, and the new one inherited nothing. If that's true then it's dishonest to take the money and run simply because you were left holding it. That's like the treasurer of your book club taking all the cash to buy some sweet ass hardcovers for himself after the club disbands.
In reality, that's what a lot of people would do, but that doesn't make it right.
Alternatively, a lot of us see the current TMO the exact same as the old one because we have many of the same officers and the same guild leader that we did when the old TMO was disbanded. If this is the case, then there is clearly no right to take an item from the bank for pure personal gain. I think Fountree's a good dude, but I disagree vehemently with him on this.
