Or programmed. But there are self programming systems am I right? No creator necessary. Bacteria may be more advanced than we think in that their capable of storing some kind of information and passing it a long. Or it could be something else entirely.
It's just cool a fuck and people like to blame a god way to much.
What if most life is like this and couple that with panspermia - you have quick evolution to fill many niches if a bit of bacteria from somewhere else travels the vast distance across space to land on a dead but livable planet?
