In an era of potent concern over internet pornography, cyber-bullying, and drugs, it is hard to imagine a game being controversial. But 30 years ago Dungeons & Dragons was the subject of a full-on moral panic, writes Peter Ray Allison
Slow news day, and no it wasn't.

I remember a big shock horror moment as "The Beastie Boys" had come across from America and created a panic with their "You've got to fight for your right to party" single. Edgy, and designed to grab headlines for the time - they did really well. Morning TV gulped it down, getting the religious in to shame it etc.

ohnoes.

Still, better D&D and 80s music etc than Justin Bieber and stealing dad's credit card to get a shinier looking WoW mount.
