OMG Yes!
This would be amazing to see implemented.
Also the Character Select screen looked very similar, with your character's names on the left in the "stone look" with a viewing window to the right with the character rotating.
This would definitely make me feel like I was playing the old game again.
I would love the old awful UI also, if it could be at a larger ratio with 2-3 chat boxes instead of 1.. even if it isn't exactly like the old one, function and feel would combine really well with that, I think
