Near where I live, people who actually have jobs have to put up with people jaywalking in droves. Sometimes, in the evenings where there are little or no street lights. These people 'look' to get hit and have their lawyer in their contacts list. They sue honest, hard working people and their insurance companies. So yes, either way, someone is getting raped.
