Quality is as good as YouTube will allow it, no matter how good the source. Most of these images are close-ups of far away shots, in other words the camera isn't right in their face - but so far away that you have to zoom in to make certain details out. It's kind of like upscaling a DVD movie to be at 720p or 1080, but all it does is stretch the image, it won't look any better - just blurry.

Most photographic images will get blurrier and distorted, the more you zoom into them. You could make it look better through certain software editors and filters, but I personally don't require an image to be a perfect 10/10 to accept the content as being true.

If you judge every video and image based on it's quality alone, so that anything less than perfect is false, then all videos and images taken before the DVD era fall into that category.

Young people who never went through the VHS era, think that HD 1080p quality has always been around, but the truth is, it's not even a decade old.

With this flawed logic, if a certain documentary only has a VHS source, does that make it any less real?
