pets will break an already mezzed mob. When soloing as an ench at lower lvl I'd often agro 2 mobs, back up to see which 1 pet was on and mez the other at a distance. After first mob was dead, the pet would immediately run to the mezd add and attack.
You can't order a pet to break mez, but every other reason a pet has for attacking a mob will still cause a pet to attack a mezzed mob. Mezd target hit the pet before it was mezd, or hit pets owner.

btw memblur doesn't work well, and root gets broken. The problem is with ignorant pet owners, not enchanter/ bards.
