IF a hit would normally land for 262 if is then mitigated by the defensive percentage, thus the max hit would only be 147 or so. It is not doing the figures right.

Defensive "mitigates" differently depending on what mob you are fighting, since defensive affects damage interval and different mobs have different DIs. It sounds like you don't know how defensive works.
