WoW was actually pretty fun an semi challenging in the beginning. Not until a year or so after launch did they gay it up.
Charging 2000g for an epic mount, and the first ranking system for pvp BEFORE battlegrounds when Tarren Mill was a 24/7 slaughter zone. Those were some fun times. Also, the AQ world event was one of the best events I've ever seen in an MMO. Making each server work together to unlock AQ by farming / questing was really nice.
But yeah after all the kids started complaining about this or that being too difficult, they shitted up that game pretty bad, now its a joke.
