This was from blue obviously, but figured I would give King Ak'anon a try. Back when I first started playing EQ I was obsessed with the fact that cities had rulers and you could take them out! Of course I was used to console games where most of those sorts of npcs were unattackable.
Anyway the fight was tough. I wiped the first time because I geared up for fire resist, when in actuality he casts his magic nuke a ton. The nuke is no joke as it hits for like 180....
It should be noted that king ak'anon is a lvl 60 mob, making him quite serious as far as resists go.
No puppet strings or other clickies were used during this fight.
You can see at the first screenshot I am insanely low mana and he is only at 94%! The reason for this is he was chain nuking me. However you can see here that he ran out of mana because he started trying to dispell... This was a huge help because I started to be able to gain mana back (shammy can gain mana even in tough fights by constant canni + regen + torpor). He does hit for 180... and I agro'd a damn light blue spider which was very annoying.
