I find that players I meet in game are kind of a reflection of how they are in real life. I wouldn't have played EQ if I hadn't met up with this group of guys who smoked weed and played the game after we got out of class and went home. Those 3 were cocksuckers irl... one of em was infamous on Bristlebane for having ninjalooted Naggy I did not want to be like that. I'm very nice, kind, and loyal irl and I wanted to become the #1 nicest guy in EQ I always thought I was but from what I've seen so far Coeur might have taken my title. I'm very fortunate because I've gotten sick lucky to meet all the people I have, 20-30 of them are toptier friends I've made from the game we've known each other for 13+ years and I talk to them/hang irl and help them all the time.
I've played like 15 or so MMO's? Been in maybe 22 guilds? I mean who knows what guild/game we'll be in 6 months from now? 2 years from now? 10 years from now? I make friends with anyone who has a good heart and their guildtag 100% plays no part in my opinion of the person. People say this community is toxic, I don't believe that shit for one second, there are a TON of really nice people on here with from many walks of life and mmo histories, I'm having a wonderful time and making a lot of friends here so far and hope to make a lot more from every guild.
Ace's been my friend since way back in the day and of all my friends he's the most loyal, like if I was in a fight I want him there because he would definitely fuck up anyone threatening me. I will admit he's got an Alpha personality and takes the game too seriously but that's just who he is. He's got a good heart and is very intelligent, currently he's working on medschool to become a doctor and it inspires me daily to work harder on following my goals. I quit a month after Kunark came out because well I really don't care about Kunark and I was very busy with online poker and didn't think I'd play EQ again and left my character with him. I'm back as of 10 months ago and will probably play until velious becomes lame.
