Brand-new you'll have a much easier time with the SK. Lower levels you're not going to experience much problem getting into a group and you can solo farm/xp much more effectively than a warrior would be able to. It means you can focus better on getting some PP to gear up or just picking up a bit of extra XP during the week when you only have maybe an hour in the evening.
Chances are by the time you get into the level ranges where the SK penalty will start affecting your ability to get groups, the penalty will gone (4-5 months from now I'd expect the class penalties to be removed). Once those are gone you will be picked over warrior for an xp group more often than not.
You will not have as much desirability in the large raid guilds, but with your play time I don't really think you'd want to be in one of those guilds anyways so you shouldn't have a problem finding a more part-time ready raid guild that will take you in.
Personally, if I were in your situation, I'd go the SK route.
Send me a tell on any of the chars in my sig tonight/tomorrow, I've got a blade of xalgoz you can have.

If MMORPG players were around when God said, "Let there be light" they'd have called the light gay, and plunged the universe back into darkness by squatting their nutsacks over it.
