Corpse recovery is stupid and annoying. Theres not much practice ir preparing you can do just because its instanced. Theres a reason wow was successful. They learned from the mistakes of everquest and changed them in wow. Simple.
Preparing for it?? Thats everquest. Get resist gear and as much people as possible. You can have endless deadweight in eq.

I think corpse recovery makes gameplay more intense and impactful. I never gave much of a shit when I died on wow, dying in eq is a big deal especially if youre in a camp thats difficult to reach.
