I'm sure thats easy to say when you have an established character but as a new player looking to get the most bang for your buck I would recommend just getting the golden fire rings and using the 300p for something else.

you might want to consider resale too when grabbing those rings and farm/save a bit more for 5/55. It's pretty easy to resell platinum fire wedding rings and the price is stable around 250 each. Golden fire can take some more time finding a buyer.

This. It's worth spending the extra couple hundred plat, especially since those will be your rings for the next 50+ levels.
