164 in a 60 is pretty serious, I can't guarantee success there, but if you're going 85 in a 60 or 55 in a 30 or what not, requesting discovery, then requesting MORE discovery, postponing trial dates multiple times so the officer stops showing up, requesting pre-trial hearings if your state allows them, etc., etc., are all ways to drive local prosecutors insane and ultimately result in the dismissal of the charge. The best is, if you realllly prolong the fight, many of these local prosecutors are on a yearly rotating basis, which means you'll end up with a new prosecutor who will then be far more inclined to throw out your ticket as well. One caveat, there's always that one judge or prosecutor who isn't going to be "bullied," and will waste as much taxpayer money as possible to see you "pay justice." If you get someone like that, OR, you live in a shitty state like Massachusetts, then you're probably fucked. BUT, you can always still win on appeal, and if you're poor, you can force the state to pay for your appeal. Even if you lose, if you're a member of the NMA, they pay you're ticket, and you get to sleep well knowing that the trial / appeal process, etc., probably cost the state close to $50,000 +.
No time for that, sounds like a lose/lose. I need my rogue to hit 60.
