Hmm! Okay, so I stand corrected. It existed but (to my knowledge) was not actually implemented in a widespread way. I never really bought into the whole thing at the time. Nothing I ever saw anyone do in terms of anti-camp radius, looting corpses, etc. ever had an effect upon chances for rare spawns / drops. It was fun to try since some of those camps tended to make people go crazy (Drelzna is the worst camp I can remember but oh the joy when she had those boots! because I could finally leave that little room and it's horrid wall paintings)
