Dr. Michio Kaku (Harvard, Berkley, author of 2 NY Times best sellers on Physics, leading researcher on string theory) was predicting a 99% chance that humanity would destroy itself within the next 100 years. He's very recently changed that to 50%, however.
This is like, complete nuclear annihilation though. A bug out bag or a rifle isn't going to save you from that.
