My cat lays a turd, steps out of the litter box, half-heartedly digs at the floor a few times, then walks away. He thinks he is burying it, but he isn't. Piece of shit

don't know about the teaching thing. my cat's mom was eaten by a fox/coyote (he was feral) when he was 3/4 days old and he buries everything he drops like a champ.
