Trance just to raise skill easily for cheap. Your biggest bang for the buck will be a Wu's Quivering Staff which you should use until you upgrade to IFS, SoS, etc tier which seem to run about 7k.
Anything in between will be several K for very minimal upgrade/sidegrade.
