I can attest to this fact. I wear an intestine necklace (because intestines LOL) and a scarab hat (because it looks badass) and I'm pretty sure I have 5-6 completely empty slots (because FUCKIT).
But I can still roam around and kill things and have as much fun as the next guy. I'm admittedly not very good at the game compared to a lot of you, but I'm enjoying myself regardless of how fucked up the economy is.
In all seriousness, cheating/duping/RMTing/monopolization (whatever you think is behind the mega-inflation) is not too dissimilar from the activities of RL stock brokers, banks, insurance companies and large corporations in our own capitalistic economies. Humanity has pretty much proven that if we
can cheat and monopolize something, we
will cheat and monopolize said something.
In other words: shit's
way fucked in the real life economy, which is run by humans. Why is anybody surprised that this virtual economy (also run by humans) is just as fucked? Life is full of unfair bullshit. Those who got there first typically win (old-money) and it's REALLY tough to break the white-knuckle hold on that kind of power.
