I disagree. This is a game designed around groups and raids. The enjoyment comes from working to make your guild strong, thus you become stronger. Everyone likes new pixels now and then, but it's the people you play with that make the game.
My pixels from live are long gone, but I play new games with many of the same people I did on live. Some of my favorite enemies now are my best allies in new games even. Working toward a guild where everyone's top priority is themselves is fighting a losing fight.
As for rejoining Nihilum, I don't really guild hop. If I was going to I would have done so after Agatha and Rettiwalk joined. If there is no good place to put effort into, I just stop logging in until there is sir.
