If you want to go to EC go as a level 1. Being level 8 will not make it ANY better running to EC. Mobs will kill you at level 12. So go for it if you want to go there. I have run to EC many times at level 1 on a Troll and Ogre. Heck have run to OT several times as a level 1 or 2 Iksar.
