Yea I've seen this a lot since the last patch. In Sky and VP especially. When someone dies sometimes, even if their corpse is dragged to right in front of you, it says out of range and you cannot see the corpse except at the spot where they originally died. I think this is how it works. Re-logging seems to fix it.
